The CFO of Southwest Regional Medical Center got his walking papers, today. Probably was a suprise for him, the Essent goose-step is never fun in a suit.
Why, you may ask? Are they just running out of CEOs and had to keep their current one? Actually, you could say it was a pattern. And that tune has played in Paris.
Remember, Essent pushes quarters. They have to, being somewhat lean in the pockets. A decent CFO plans for the long-term, since playing the short game alone will cost you the round.
So one of two things happened: He was exceptionally bad...or he was going in a different direction....
Neither one will be apparent from the AHD figures, one thing is for sure: They didn't like the bottom line....another one bites the dust...another one bites the dust....

It just hasn't been the same without Freddie Mercury.
"Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust
There are plenty of ways you can hurt a man
And bring him to the ground
You can beat him
You can cheat him
You can treat him bad and leave him
When he's down
But I'm ready, yes I'm ready for you
I'm standing on my own two feet
Out of the doorway the bullets rip
Repeating the sound of the beat"
Maybe Ken Miller should get his "Bicycle" "Bicycle" winterized, maybe he will be the next to face the cold!!!!!
Now that song will be going through my head all day...'course it may be that whistling it will remind a lot of people how fragile employment is with Essent!
who is SRMC?
Southwest Regional Medical Center, also part of Essent. As a matter of fact, the last hospital acquired.
See the posts from 6/3&11/06 &11/11/05 and this link for more information.
Formerly Greene County Hospital, Essent has promised an investment of $1 million per year. Wonder if that was the source of
'discussion' with the CFO....frank
Dreaded Fridays at PRMC.... well, last week went by with no one getting the boot.... what's next they ask?? or better yet WHO'S next?? Everyone has been so wrong about the administration. People get fired/quit everyday. Why not just leave it at that and quit stirring up stuff? It's not helping. Who is left at PRMC needs to be there, the rest was just wasted money and time.... some say Jason, some say Kenneth. Just sit back and be glad it's not you. I will say that Jason needs to stay... for the rest, I don't know them.
I'm reminded of a book I read years ago called (I believe) "Them". The two main characters go through trials and tribulations, seemingly bonded against all others, and at the end, she is saying that "we" are alright. He says, "But, you're one of THEM"....
Essent is the focal point, and what happens elsewhere affects us as well...look who we sent to Southwest Medical Center...and our current locum CEO was Essent in the beginning. An director from here and his fileroom buddy ended up in Sharon.
The "us" and "them" are the hospital staffs and Essent. Figure out where you stand....frank
It is not just dept.heads @ SRMC that they are getting rid of either(partly beacause there is any left). They also just terminated one of the best physical therapist in the region. This man had over 25 years of experience and was only 2 years away from retiring. In additon on the physical therapy surveys he always mentioned even if it was not his regular patient. Now tell me that is right. I still recieve phone calls in regards to that place from angery patients and members.
I don't know if it's the RNs in the ER, or the docs, but if I can figure out that you're logging to the site, so can 'The Man'.
I appreciate the hits, but unless you figure you're bulletproof, I'd restrict my activities to outside the hospital.
Good ER nurses are hard to find, heck, any ER nurses are hard to find around here, so there is a certain security in that.
And, if you think because it's an open login that they can't track you, where is your smoke detector? Or radio? Turn it towards the wall....frank
Maybe there is some immunity, 255 logins! Takes guts! frank
