More Hazards.....7/15

PRMC CEO, Christopher Dux (pronounced Dukes), announced no staffing increases, no mention of raises, but he did say:

"Also, I don't believe that the way to improve employee satisfaction is to hire more staff to reduce individual responsibility, accountability or work load. Rather, I believe higher satisfaction will be achieved through providing employees with greater responsibility, accountability and authority to perform meaningful and purposeful work that makes a positive difference in the lives of both the patients and employees".

Something like: Work makes you free

The new cardiac "center of excellence" offers many new opportunities for work/satisfaction for both employees and staff. Can someone tell me how the internists and surgeons will cover two E R' s ?Where will the Cardiac ICU RNs come from ? What will OB do in the middle of all this cardiac excellence?I dont like being a naysayer; but,has ADMIN thought out the details of this ? We stand to: at the very least, have a melt-down in anasthesia, a mass exodus of primary care MDs who will just turn over their admits to a hospitalists(or send them to Dallas)rather than cover two ERs.There is not enough revenue to operate two Operating rooms (the subsidy now is 1.2 million above receipts)Yet the ADMIN is barreling ahead with the plan without the slightest idea of how to solve these problems. They learned nothing from the radiology clusterf...k!
On we go into the dark night ....

Corpspeak from Duckboy........reads like a Dilbert cartoon.

What he really said was "We're not going to ease your burdens by hiring more people to fill vacancies, but we are buying bigger whips to use on the remaining staff. So shut the ^*%&% up & get back to work, dogs!"

(bad word meaning sex act) you, Duckie- glad I work at a place that really gives a damn. And it ain't Auschwicz West.

I hate for the blogger and people on this blog to look ignorant. I am a supporter of the cause. The man's name is pronounced "Dukes". I asked him how to pronounce it when I met him. All the duck jokes are kind of moot and childish.

Yep, THAT statement takes the cake, question is.........what's next, required self flagellation?

Geesh Putz, get a schtick wouldja?

You know, I've flipped to the page a bunch of times and I actually think that I commented earlier appropriately...but, maybe the ducks sounded better???

Something better sound good, 'cause their 'center' is going to be a cost over-run if ever there was one.

And how many docs will be moving their OR privleges to Clarksville if they have to be pulling call in two locations?

Quack quack.

I find it amusing how freely criticism flows on this board but the same critics can't even admit they are wrong when simply redirected on the pronunciation of a word.

Oh, I wouldn't say that...the error was fixed, and it drew a comment from admin. And, I do believe I did use the correct pronuncation...when I met him.

10:49,

I am quite aware of the correct pronunciation of Dux's last name, thank you. I agree you are correct on his pronunciation, but apparently you have a problem with satire.

I recommend you lighten up before you get mallardjusted (oops, another pun.....)

You're gonna love this. Did a Google search of "Dux". One of the sites that came up was Wikipedia. So I checked it out. The irony will jump off the screen and slap you.
