Rumor Mill...4/26

I heard through the grapevine...(that things are getting thinner in Nashville)... and Hud's about to l-o-o-o-s-e his mind.... Anna Jean and Mal have walked the plank, who's next? If only Dick was still there, he might have had his chance!

You kind of have to consider who has the largest amount of stock options--Joe Pinion and Hal Andrews were probably at the top of the list. Dick was already gone, and now Anna Jean and Mal have met their untimely demise. Dick is back, but if he's holding on to the FTI position, maybe he can tell which way the wind is blowing...rather than waiting for the big one...or the other shoe.... The twisted thing about it is not that he fired them, it's that they were listed as friends** from way back or fast-burners under his tutelage...but, hey, it's just business....

Corporate used to be a safe bet--only the head honcho might be trimmed off. Heck, that's how Hud moved up in Health Trust---the previous CEO had to dry out, so suddenly Hud is running things.

Don't think that that is about to happen, but we can always hope.

**People mistakenly believe that Hud is their friend but Hud has no friends, just people he uses until they no longer serve his purpose.

A cprporation with turmoil in the front office, and mismanaged properties...........not a very pretty picture to present to potential investors, unless said investors are dumber than a bag of hammers. We already know of a hospital board that fits that description (oh hi there, Paris, .....didn't see you hiding in the corner).

Don't think for a minute that a new coat of paint will make things look better in NashVegas.

Maybe Hud could take the cure...or chubby farm. Either one could be considered "Essential" for Paris!

I haven't heard much about the local board since I made my escape. I did read that Bobby Walters is assuming the presidency. He is a good and honorable man who I'm certain has Paris' best interests at heart. The problem is he has no power whatsoever to initiate change. I wonder just how much rope Hud will need to finally hang himself, and will it be in my lifetime?

just to let you know that David Kreye has resigned at SouthwestRegional Medical Center today, he is going to Baptist Hospital in Amarillo, Texas. Non Essent Hospital

D###, you mean we get him back in Texas?

CEO's at three Eseent facilities have resigned in the last 6 months. Merimack Valley Medical Center, Paris Regional Medical Center, and now Southwest Regional Medical Center. Does this mean Dickie will be the new temp at Southwest Regional? Hud just can't seem to get his house in order. What goes around comes around.

Looks like Dickie has a permanent rotational position...unless things really go to h### in a handbasket. Like with a JCAHO inspection. Right now the organization is just filing complaints until the next one...but the next one should be a beaut....frank

I was wrong about David going to Amarillo, he is going to San Antonio. sorry for the wrong info. please from what I have read no "Dickie".

Please note that Andy didn't resign--he was canned, fired, hit the road, Jack! That's probably due to the Ortho group, which had enough of the boy. (Why couldn't the medical community as a whole pitch Essent out???)

And, if you go back slightly further, Soran left as well.

Haven't heard the full story on Kreye, but seeing updates from the blog, Andy's job search, and Hud's paranoia increasing probably made this a no-brainer....frank

What did the good folks of San Antone do to deserve Kreye? Which hospital is it stupid enough to hire this spineless weasel?

Kreye's only defect is that he dosnt know anything about hospital administration.I could also mention that he is a mean spirited petty guy that is the absolute gold standard for the PETER PRINCIPLE.I cant believe the hospital in san antonio did much checking with people that had known or worked for this guy. Oh well, he's their problem ....

Looks like San Antone's gonna have another major defeat like the time Santa Ana decided he didn't care much for that ol' mission called the Alamo.

We can only hope for a Sam Houston kinda guy to come in and San Jacinto the heck outta Essent & Co.
