Essent has stated that I defamed them. That since the blog came out, I have been mis-representing them to the public. But, have you noticed the changes in their operation?
Let's take this election year. Actually, please take it. I'm not wild about the choices, and it certainly looks like the Democrats are trying to eat their young--okay, Hillary isn't quite in that category, but you get the picture....
In election years 2000 and 2004, Essent employees contributed $13,250 and $16,250, respectively. Even in off-year elections 2002 and 2004, they gave $11,250 and $9,800 (mostly Hud). So far this election, the total is Zero!
Now, I don't mean to say that contributions have stopped, but large contributions have been turned off.
Raises are back in vogue. Several other programs have been changed. Cameras were pulled from the smoke alarms. And Essent has plowed bucks back into the local economy--(how much do TV ads cost, anyway?)
Remember when the hospital was being bought, and everyone thought that the change would be good? Change can be for the better or worse. When someone's campaign's mantra is 'change', be careful what you wish for....

They also say that they defamed Rebecca Caffee. People say that she is Frank, any truth to that?? Or did you see her as #3. She told ESSENT that she was not smart enough to be Frank. But she was plenty smart, judging from the HCA case in 2005. Yeah she took them, down x 2. Bet that really bites! She even used the same attorney.
Haven't the foggiest about the HCA case, what it involved, who were the players. Becky apparently took her story to Topix, and has been dodging all sorts of personal stuff ever since. Hard to be a finger-pointer when they point back.
Paris is a rather small population group, and as in any medical community, there are a lot of people carrying baggage. A higher percentage of the population know about it.
A comparible number might be aware of the dynamics of, say Baylor-Garland, but there are more commuters and far less impact on the community as a whole.
Your physician there might have privleges at three or four hospitals, so the impact is felt far less....frank
The chatter around other hospitals is that there is going to be a lawsuit against a Dr. Goodman and PRMC. I don't know the whole story, but something about a patient that was in the ER being treated by Dr. Goodman and he discharged the patient without calling the on call OB/GYN with the CRITICAL test results. I hope that he has good malpractice insurance.
I don't know that I'd call a 1% raise a raise. More like a slap in the face.
THE HIT LIST GROWS. IF THEY JUST STOPED TO THINK ABOUT WHAT THEY WERE DOING OR TALKED TO A FEW EMPLOYEES OR PEOPLE FROM THE TOWN FIRST MAYBE THEY WOULD'NT BE CHASING THEIR TAILS ALL THE TIME.
They did their own job of defamation. It's not slander or libel if it's the truth!
