...and Then There Were Two....11/20

MRMC narrows list of suitors to two
Phoenix Staff Reports

The Muskogee Regional Medical Center Board of Trustees selected Community Health Systems and Capella Healthcare Inc. as final candidates to run the city-owned hospital.

The board voted unanimously Friday morning on the two suitors after emerging from an executive session to narrow the list of choices.

Board Chairman Chris Condley said that some time during the next 10 to 12 days, each candidate will sign a letter of intent stating they want to move forward toward a definitive agreement.

After the letters are signed, the hospital will have the right to conduct more research on each company, and the companies will have the right to investigate the hospital.

Condley said the board hopes to decide on one company before the end of the year.

Guess Friday the 13 was bad luck for Hud!

By Gawd, them Okies ain't as dumb as they look, is they? LOL!!! (sez this graduate of Afton (OK) High School and Oklahoma State University)........

The MRMC trustees steered real clear of E$$ent after Dud refused to be honest with them. They made the first correct move of this procedure- weed out the riffraff.

ANd I'm still waiting to hear from a Dud-apologist...........

Frank,
Strategery on a Saturday! Hud's burning the weekend oil. But, he does have a problem: Grow, or go (into obscurity.) His team has dropped two; third strike, and you're....

Agreed, but how'd you know? Checking parking spaces?

Me thinks the Okies somehow found this website and actually read the articles and comments.

Yeah, when Hud and his buddies go public, they will make millions and ride off into the sunset.

Good riddence.

Well Hallelujah! I hope Hud's BP shot through the roof over this one. Wonder how much midnight oil was burned by Huddites over this failure to launch more BS and misery. Hahahaha, Okies, my hats off to ya'll!

11:02,
You couldn't even begin to guess....

I bet Hud is kicking himself, Paris is split into two campuses, has all sorts of misc. properties, and Frank is pissing in his corn flakes.

Had they waited for Muskogee, it would have been one campus, approximately the same number of beds, a high census, and not have Frank....

'course they still would be competing with CHS, and someone else would probably have my spot. Nature abhors a vacuum....frank

I just wish Christus had researched the prospective buyers like MRMC did. But then, maybe they wanted to pick the worst candidate so they'd look good in retrospect??

Christus apparently was eager to cut & run, and damn the circumstances. Awfuly nice of them, dontcha think??

And no, I'm still not a big fan of Christus Health, nor will I be.

Truly....but it's kinda one of those "lesser of two weevils" kinda things....

It must be interesting for both Essent and CHS, since both are part of the Healthtrust Purchasing Group. And, both CEOs are on the Council. That could provoke some interesting comments during breaks.

Wonder if the conversation is more civil than what Essent spewed out regarding CHS?

And, I wonder if CHS is doing better with the acquisition of Vista Health than Essent is here? Vista was a combination of two hospitals in Waukegan, IL. Depending on what stats you look at, anywhere from 100-50 less beds, and a secular and non-secular facility.

However, the population base is larger, and they're planning an infusion of $70 million.

Question, did they hold a contest to re-name the place?

I BET MRMC WON'T BE RAN ANY DIFFERENT THAN WHAT IT HAS BEEN FOR THE FACT THEY STILL HAVE THE SAME DIRECTORS AND ADMINRUNNING THE SHOW. THEY ARE FLAPPING THEIR LIPS AND RUNNING OFF ALL STAFF IF THIS NEW COMPANY WANTS TO MAKE THIS HOSPITAL WORK THEY NEED TO GET RID OF THE ADMIN HIRE ALL NEW AND PAY THEIR EMPLOYEES WHAT THEY ARE WORTH

I personally emailed the board directors of MRMC and Campbell with this website... So I know they were given the info.

Anonymously of course...

In reverse order, Campbell has been aware of the blog for some time, with one of the ER docs doing some verbal sparring, but on Hey Martha! They've already made their decision, not that any commentary is lacking in worth. MRMC has likewise been keeping up to date, but they too have narrowed choices, after discarding Essent.

There has been no decision (to my knowledge) on the MRMC lease, so why would there be changes to the administration? Until whoever occupies the hospital gets there, why would there be a difference?
