They didn't use the advantages of location as well as they should, and they made the mistake of getting rid of the people who in fact, were actually trying to help them. They got rid of many of their best producers, and patient advocates.<BR/><BR/>That effects quality, and people see that, word of mouth spreads in this town, much better than news. <BR/><BR/>Now, I have no idea who would buy us. It would be stratigic for ETMC, and could be mutually benificial. They do understand the importance of trauma designation, and the cath lab as a money maker. I honestly think they could help turn it around but...<BR/><BR/>It's cutting some of their competition, and the greed may just intensify, causing again--poor staffing and conditions.<BR/><BR/>I feel, that if we don't unionize we are just going to get a series of more of what we have right now. <BR/><BR/>If the doctors are serious about buying a hospital, and we end up having two here again, with competion, then there would be no need for the union. But I think it's a big risk to try to rely on that, and not move ahead with the union idea.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
